Doug is a national award winning video, broadcast and interactive media scriptwriter and storyteller with over 25 years of experience. His background is in corporate, marketing and technical communications as well as feature film screenwriting. Doug’s passion is researching, conceptualizing and scripting creative media to educate, inform and entertain audiences. His focus is on the creative end of projects, but he has experience as a producer, director, project manager and marketing consultant.

His clients include NASA, Southern Company, Armed Forces Network, Dept. of Energy, T-Mobile, Intel Corp, Hewlett-Packard, Education Northwest, VIA Learning, Scholastic Inc. and the Oregon Health & Science University. Doug’s documentaries on socially responsible entrepreneurship and children’s health have been official selections at film festivals worldwide have been acquired by hundreds of public libraries and are used in the curriculum at scores of colleges and universities. He has significant knowledge in the areas of energy, health/medicine, natural resources, entrepreneurship, technology, science and sports/athletics.

Doug is a founding member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and active member of multiple human rights and environmental organizations. Over the years, he has provided pro bono services to a wide range of local environmental, educational, health, community causes and social justice organizations. When he’s not immersed in communications work, Doug and his wife are traveling extensively in North America and Europe, he’s experimenting with fused glass art and he’s playing nationally competitive senior tennis.
